We left Germany on the 27th of December just as the snow was starting to take over the country and managed to cross the border into France before traffic jams left people stuck in their cars for hours. Not that we would have minded as we have a wood stove in our van and can't wait for bad weather! Here we are following the sun south all the time waiting for cold weather...we always were a little strange.

The second photo above is from Sopeira, in the Pyrenees, in Spain. It's a beautiful place and we love the vibe there. The restored Romanesque Abbey of Santa María de Alaón, a former Benedictine monastery of the 12th century, is located here. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sopeira ) We generally stop here on our way south and then north again. So prepare yourselves for more photos!
