Okay, so we’ve been here for 3 months already, but I just had to tell you all about South Africa before I could tell you all about Portugal. We are LOVING Portugal as always, so let’s get up to date shall we.

Yet again, we have not ventured far from the Algarve at all this winter. We always plan to go inland, but the lovely weather and beautiful spots at the coast keep us here. This year was the windiest and coldest we’ve had in the last 7 years, but it was still superb and way better than elsewhere in Europe, so we shall definitely not complain.

Because the weather is the best on the Algarve, hundreds of thousands of camper vans converge on this 200km stretch of land, some behaving worse than others. We have our favourite spots and manage to keep away from the masses most of the time. Considering the number of people and vans, we are often parked up alone in magnificent places.

We also meet really interesting and fun characters at every turn. Interesting that we seem to attract all the “wierdos” into our lives! Just kidding folks, we are truly lucky to meet such amazing people and to get to spend time with one another. I’ll introduce to some of them in the next month.

We also went to a famous/infamous Hippie Market this year which I shall also tell you about and have eaten some great meals…yes, yes, yes, I’m on it, so just wait, alright, already! Here are a couple more photos to whet your appetite.
